Perform Citrix engineering and operational support activities for client's Citrix global infrastructure. Primary responsibilities include analyzing the impact of changes to the Citrix environment, supporting minor and major Production implementations within the Citrix environment, resolving customer-reported incidents, and mitigating vulnerabilities identified within the Citrix environment. Collaborate with different domains in the client organization as a subject matter expert, and contribute to project and business support activities involving the Citrix technology.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Scope and fulfill project assignments requiring Citrix expertise and deliverables.
Support Citrix software and hardware upgrades in the Production environment.
Create and review standard operating procedure documents and norms.
Assist with ongoing incident and problem tickets.
Participate in project planning and incident review meetings.
Mitigate vulnerabilities identified within the Citrix Infrastructure.
Participate in disaster recovery planning and simulation exercises.
Recommend process improvements to existing operational support models.
Perform additional duties in support of client infrastructure as designated by manager.
In-depth knowledge of Citrix infrastructure layers: virtual, network, software, hardware, access.
In-depth knowledge of Citrix-specific technologies including XenApp, XenDesktop, and PVS.
Advanced within common IT disciplines such Wintel/Desktops/Servers, Networking, Virtualization/VMware, Remote Desktop, Storage, Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, SCCM, and Bi9.
Image management for Windows desktop and/or server machines.
Remote systems management (RDP, VNC, etc.)
Versed in incident and problem management.
Versed in enterprise change control principles and best practices.
Knowledge of PowerShell or other Windows programming language a plus.
Preferred to have understanding of Citrix NetScaler and App Layering appliances.
3+ years in a senior level information technology or technical support position.
Preferred 5+ years related experience installing, building, and supporting Citrix infrastructure operations including familiarity with latest Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop software (v7.x)
Bachelor Degree in the Computer Science, Business Administration, Math, Information Systems, or related technical experience and/or certification.
Citrix-oriented technical certification(s) a plus.
