We are working with a growing Manufacturer who is looking to add a Payroll Administrator to their team. This person will be completing the payroll as well as working with HR to complete additional assignments. This person must have strong attention to detail and ability to complete multi-state payroll. The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the accounting, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, record keeping and financial reporting for payroll. The position will ensure compliance with corporate policies and federal and state regulations. This position will coordinate and be the primary resource for all payroll related matters.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Ad-hoc and special reports and analysis as well as audit support.

  • Responsible for the supervision and oversight of time and attendance and the Time & Attendance system and will indirectly supervise the Accounting Associate regarding all time and attendance keeping functions.

  • The Payroll Specialist will work closely with HR, the Payroll Dept. and all employees regarding payroll related matters.

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree

  • 5+years of experience in payroll operations and processing

Required:

  • A strong understanding of Payroll Operation and Payroll Accounting concepts

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Professional demeanor

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel

  • Excellent organizational, multitasking and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.

It is essential that the Payroll Administrator maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion in the areas of payroll system, time & attendance system and general ledger.
